He has been working in pediatrics for the last three years. Brian has experience treating a wide variety of genetic, orthopedic, and neurological diagnoses, including muscular dystrophy, hydrocephalus, toe-walking, cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, and torticollis. Brian has also had special training in pediatric orthopedics, neurodevelopmental treatment, pediatric aquatics, and orthotic prescription and fabrication.
Brian's interest and areas of expertise include splinting/bracing, orthopedic assessment, sensory integration with PT/gross motor acquistion, aquatic therapy, and adaptive equipment. Brian is NDT trained and has served as a WATCH session facilitator.

She worked in New York State for the early intervention program, preschools, and public school districts before relocating to Raleigh. Gerry has been the director since 1987, and has practiced pediatric physical therapy since graduating from the Physical Therapy Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976. Gerry worked with prematurely born infants in the Wake NICU and SICU for over ten years and provided infant assessments for a research project looking at environmental contaminants in human breast milk. The project was coordinated by the National Institute of Health (NIH). She also assisted with writing a grant targeted to provide parent education during the administration of the Bayley II developmental assessment scales. Gerry?s many areas of special training include advanced pediatric assessment and treatment, including the administration of the Brazelton Scales, the Bayley Scales of Infant Development and Sensory Integration Assessment Tools, the evaluation and fabrication of custom molded seating systems, splints and orthotics, splinting and casting, healthcare administration, and clinical management.
