The ICF/MR facilities serve individuals ages 3 and up while the off-site housing is specific to individuals age 18 years and up and who are enrolled in the CAP I/DD program. ICF/MR facilities provide 24/7 supervision and nursing services. Individuals living in the ICF/MR residences attend school either at the Tammy Lynn Center or in the community and participate in activities both on and off campus. Before/after school services are offered for children with developmental disabilities who are receiving their educational programing in the public school setting. A summer camp and summer program are also offered for children not qualifying for Extended School Year services but needing a safe and stimulating environment. On-site nursing and nutrition services as well as Speech/Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy and Behavior Modification are also offered. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Teacher to child ratio is 1:4 for toddlers and 1:6 for all other ages. The center has a five-star rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and has earned accreditation from NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
