The Use of Standardized Tests in Pediatric Therapy	Date: 08/01/2007
On August 1st, TelAbility hosted a multipoint videoconference discussion on the Use of Standardized Tests in Pediatric Therapy. The session was facilitated by Dawn Phillips, MS,PT and Associate Professor at UNC-CH. Eighteen people participated in this videoconference at 4 locations, including the TelAbility office in Chapel Hill, Community Partnerships in Raleigh, the Raleigh CDSA and the Wilmington CDSA. The session discussed various tests used in pediatric therapy evaluations and highlighted their differences, strengths and challenges. Evaluation results indicate that everyone was comfortable attending a videoconference session. Reduced travel time and costs, as well as the ability to collaborate with other therapists across the state were noted as the greatest benefits of the session. A total of $606.00 in mileage costs and over 30 hours of travel time were saved by having 13 people attend this session via videoconference. The review the entire evaluations results click below. Communication Deficits Videoconference Evaluation Results	Date: 01/16/2008
On January 11th, the WATCH Project sponsored a videoconference session entitled "Using the Best Available Evidence to Identify Infants and Toddlers with (or at risk for) Communicate Deficits", faciliated by Dr. Elizabeth Crais, a UNC-CH professor and Speech Language Pathologist. 34 people participated in this session, including professionals from the Raleigh CDSA, Tammy Lynn Center, Chesire Center, Project Enlightenment, Learning Together, Community Partnerships, Wake Med, and the Pediatric Therapy Associates. 97% of the participants stated the session provided them with new knowledge and skills. 100% of the participants were highly satisfied with the session. All of the participants stated they were comfortable participating via videoconference. Click the link for full evaluation results.
