Welcome to the Wake County Services and Resources for Children Birth-Five page. This page is made possible by the collaborative efforts of TelAbility and the Wake County Local Interagency Council (LICC) and the generous funding of Wake County Smart Start.

The information listed here was provided by the individuals and agencies listed, who have identified themselves as being providers of services for children ages 0-5 in Wake County. Inclusion in this list does not indicate or imply endorsement of any kind by TelAbility, Wake Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC), Raleigh Regional Interagency Coordinating Council (RICC), Raleigh Children's Developmental Services Agency, Wake County Smart Start, Wake County Public Schools, or any other group, agency, or individual; nor has the information provided been verified. Residential Services, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities

Residential services are provided in 3 on-site ICF/MR facilities housing 10 individuals each and in 3 off-site group homes housing 4 CAP I/DD individuals each. The ICF/MR facilities serve individuals ages 3 and up while the off-site housing is specific to individuals age 18 years and up and who are enrolled in the CAP I/DD program. ICF/MR facilities provide 24/7 supervision and nursing services. Individuals living in the ICF/MR residences attend school either at the Tammy Lynn Center or in the community and participate in activities both on and off campus. Individuals living in the off-site housing participate in Day Activities at the Tammy Lynn Center and in activities in the community. Off-site housing provides 24/7 staff supervision.

Wake County Cerebral Palsy Support Group

Day Services, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities

Day Services provides educational support and services for children ages 3 - 22 years with developmental disabilities (contracted through Wake County Public Schools) and children ages 3 - 5 years without disabilities in an inclusive environment. Before/after school services are offered for children with developmental disabilities who are receiving their educational programing in the public school setting. A summer camp and summer program are also offered for children not qualifying for Extended School Year services but needing a safe and stimulating environment. On-site nursing and nutrition services as well as Speech/Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy and Behavior Modification are also offered. All services are individualized to meet each child's needs.

Learning Together, Inc. - Developmental Day Center

The Developmental Day Center provides an inclusive center-based program for children from 18 months to six years of age with, or at risk for, developmental disabilities and for children who are typically developing. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Teacher to child ratio is 1:4 for toddlers and 1:6 for all other ages. The center has a five-star rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and has earned accreditation from NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). For the 2011-12 School Year, Learning Together will operate 10 classrooms giving us the ability to serve more children than ever before! Learning Together is a contract agency of Wake County Public Schools. Learning Together's Mission is to meet the developmental, educational, and health needs of young children of all abilities. Abilitations Children's Therapy & Wellness Cneter

ACTWC provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services, music therapy, nutritional counseling, and yoga, wellness/fitness programs for children birth to 21. We provide clinic based treatments as well as home based for children enrolled in early intervention. Social groups are also offered throughout the year, run by our speech therapist or music therapists. We are also advocates for community integration and have developed special programs to include Kool Kidz club for social networking, Abilities Indoor Soccer league and Summer Musical Theatre.

Raleigh Neurology Associates
