Adapalene (Differin?)

COMMON USES:
Used to treat acne.

HOW IT'S SUPPLIED:
Comes as a 0.1% gel, cream or solution that is applied to the skin.

HOW IT WORKS:
It works partly by keeping skin pores clear.

THINGS TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR DOCTOR:
* May increase the sensitivity of the skin to sun and lead to sunburn.
* Do not apply this medicine to windburned or sunburned skin or on open wounds.
* Do not use this medicine in or around the eyes, lips, or inside of the nose.
* During the first 3 weeks you are using adapalene, the acne may seem to get worse before it gets better.
* Full improvement should be seen in 12 weeks, especially if the medicine is used every day.
* May case burning sensation or stinging of skin; dryness and peeling of skin; itching of skin; and/or redness of skin.
