HOW IT WORKS Stretches the colon by causing more fluids to stay inside. This leads to softer stools and increased peristalsis (pushing movements) that move the stool down and out.
THINGS TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR DOCTOR: * May worsen diabetes. * Can be mixed with fruit juice or water before taking. * Take at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after other medications. * May cause stomach bloating, cramping, and/or diarrhea. * Can make the stools smell like ammonia.
