On September 28th, Dr. Alexander, TelAbility Program Director and Juliellen Simpson-Vos, TelAbility Project Director, participated in the first ever Statewide Early Intervention Communication Conference titled Building a Network, sponsored by the Wake County LICC, NC ADD and Pediatric Therapy Associates. The conference highlighted the various ways the EI Community can use communication tools to support and advance their issues. Technology resources such as those offered through TelAbility and WATCH offer many of those kinds of opportunities! The TelAbility session showcased WATCH as a statewide and national model of communication and featured a skit involving parent, Jennifer Pfaltzgraf and her son, Ethan; Donna Spence from Learning Together, and Sue Styles from the Wilmington CDSA. The skit showed everyone how parents and professionals can utilize technology to communicate locally and share resources and expertise across the state.
