In May, 2000, five members of the TelAbility team participated in a statewide Telehealth Forum at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill.
The Forum was sponsored by the office of Senator John Edwards, North Carolina AHEC, The NC Healtcare Information and Communications Alliance, Inc., the UNC School of Public Health, and the Office of the Governor.
Joshua Alexander,MD, Darlene Sekerak,LPT, Maggie Sauer, CCC-SLP, and Linn Wakeford, OTR joined Keith Cochran, TelAbility Project Director, at the event which included discussions on educational and clinical applications, emerging technologies for telehealth applications, government initiatives, and future directions.
