Amy received her Bachelor of Arts from Meredith College, with a double major in Communications and Spanish, a concentration in Communication Disorders and a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University in 2004. Amy has experience in evaluating and treating articulation and phonology issues, receptive and expressive language delays, and oral-motor and feeding disorders in children and adults. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation for traumatic brain injury, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric private practices, and inpatient psychiatrics. Upon graduating from ECU, Amy practiced speech-language pathology in Louisville, Kentucky before returning to her hometown of Raleigh, NC. Amy currently evaluates and treats speech and language disorders in Spanish for children aged birth to three.

Her work experience has been exclusive to pediatrics in both private and school based settings; however, she also has clinical experience in psychologically based centers, nursing homes, and rehabilitation hospitals. Her therapy techniques utilize a sensory integrative approach during treatment sessions for sensory, developmental, and fine motor treatment strategies. Her continuing education includes multiple courses on sensory integration techniques and strategies as well as handwriting evaluation and remediation. Kasey is experienced in working with children with developmental delays, sensory integration dysfunction, fine motor delays, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and a wide range of other syndromes and disabilities.

She then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to earn her Master of Science in Speech Pathology in 1993. Stuart has worked in a variety of settings including schools, preschools, clinic based, and home environments. She has experience evaluating and treating children with a wide range of diagnoses including developmental delay, post traumatic syndrome, shaken baby syndrome, apraxia, Down syndrome, hearing impairment, failure to thrive, traumatic brain injury, phonological disorders, language delays, articulation disorders, and autism.
