Biography:

This local Family Support Network Parent to Parent program can provide a one-on-one parent match with a trained support parent for emotional support, assistance in finding community resources, and sharing parenting experiences. The program also offers educational workshops on various topics of interest, information and referral service, and a lending library. Hospital outreach is available at Carolinas Medical Center and support for families with children that are hospitalized. The program provides consulting around advocacy and on-site advocacy assistance. Sibshops for siblings and marriage workshops for families with children with special needs are available. Support services are available for the Latino community including a support group and marriage workshops for Latino families with children with special needs.
