services/agency:
The Child Mental Health Initiative provides clinical services to children birth to eight years of age who demonstrate serious social, emotional, behavioral, and /or mental health concerns that may jeopardize their child care, family life, and future growth and development. CMHI offers clinical assessments,individual and family therapy and interactive play therapy.Services are office/home or school based depending on the needs of the child and family. Case Consultation and coordination with all providers is seen as an essential service to achieving positive results. Group therapy with kids and parent support groups are provided as funding allows.

Membership Affiliations: We are a non-profit agency and a member of the United Way of the Greater Triangle. We are also a member agency of Growing Together - the Wake County Local Interagency Council. We are a provider agency of the Raleigh Children's Developmental services Agency (CDSA) We are a contract agency of Wake County Human Services and the Wake LME. We are recognized as a School Based Mental Health Provider Agency for the Wake County Public Schools via Wake County HUman Services-Mental Health.

Fee Information/Insurance Accepted: We can bill insurance and Medicaid.
Location Services Provided: Services are provided in the child's home or child care center/preschool classroom. Group programs are provided at many locations throughout the region when funding for groups is available.
Modalities of Services Provided: Individual play therapy for children, dyadic play therapy for children and parents, sibling play therapy, clinical consultation with schools and Wake County Human Services, coordination of clinical services with Wake County Preschool Services and Wake County Human Services.
