COMMON USES:
Used to treat stomach ulcers and heartburn from gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).

HOW IT?S SUPPLIED:
Tablet comes in 10-, 20-, and 40-milligram sizes.
Liquid has 40 milligrams in 5 milliliters.

HOW IT WORKS:
An H-2 blocker (histamine blocker), this medicine prevents the release of acid into the stomach.

THINGS TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR DOCTOR:
? Available with and without a prescription.
? Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medicine evenly.
? May cause headache, dizziness, constipation and/or diarrhea.
? Can be taken with or without food.
? May improve behavior in some children with autism.
* Use with caution if taking ketoconazole or if drinking cranberry juice.
