Appetite stimulant- used mostly in patients with cancer or AIDS
HOW IT WORKS
A synthetic progestin (hormone) this medicine increases appetite by an unknown action.
It may interfere with cachexin, a hormone that lowers appetite.

* May cause nausea, vomiting, menstrual bleeding, high blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, and/or an increased risk of blood clots.
