THINGS TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR DOCTOR
* The tablet form is usually taken on an empty stomach in order to speed results.
* Tablets are coated to decrease stomach upset, so don?t chew them, crush them, or take them within an hour of drinking milk.
* Common side effects include burping; cramping; diarrhea; and/or nausea
* Magic Bullet ? suppositories contain Polyethylene Glycol instead of hydrogenated vegetable oil, so they usually work faster (result in 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes later) than other bisacodyl suppositories.
* When taking bisacodyl tablets by mouth, waiting an hour after taking an antacid (Zantac, Prilosec, etc.) can improve its effectiveness.
